On October 17, 2007, the Office of the Governor of the State of
Texas and the American Chamber of Commerce in Canada hosted a
seminar for Canadian companies interested in expanding into the
State of Texas and in building strong business relationships with
that state. The Texas Secretary of State, Phil Wilson, was
introduced by Martin Z. Rosenbaum, the Vice-Chair of the Ontario
Chapter of AmCham Canada and Partner at Fogler, Rubinoff LLP. A
series of presentations were made by the Texas delegation comprised
of representatives from various Texas communities and leading Texas
companies. The presentations covered topics relating to legal and
financial aspects of doing business in Texas. Following the
presentations, attendees were given an opportunity to interact with
the Secretary of State and the members of the Texas delegation.
Following the event, Phil Wilson personally thanked Martin Rosenbaum
for AmCham Canada's help in organizing the seminar.
