On June 4, 2008, Fogler, Rubinoff LLP and AmCham Canada hosted a business breakfast presentation by the West Tennessee Industrial Association and the Canadian Office of the State of Tennessee. Attendees included business people from banking, finance, real estate, manufacturing, and energy, a representative of the US Commercial Service and a municipal councillor from the Town of Richmond Hill. Robert Bathgate, Executive Director of the State of Tennessee Canadian Office spoke about the business climate in Tennessee. Mr. Bathgate, also the National President of AmCham Canada, described AmCham Canada's current initiatives.

The main presentation was made by Jim Blankenship, Assistant Director of the Western Tennessee Industrial Association. He described the West Tennessee Region and the programs and incentives offered at both the local municipal and state levels. These include the "Deal Ready" Industrial Sites program and the Payment In Lieu of Taxes program. Mr. Blankenship listed the many other benefits of expanding into West Tennessee, including, proximity to 76% of major U.S. markets, high quality workforce, excellent transportation infrastructure and abundant inexpensive utilities.

Canadian businesses that have successfully expanded into West Tennessee include, Kruger Inc., Quebecor, Normerica Inc., Lallemand Inc. and Norandal Ltd., a division of Brascan Corp. Following Mr. Blankenship's presentation, all attendees were given the opportunity to introduce themselves and their business or organization.
