U.S. Consulate Briefing Breakfast
January 23, 2008
Delta Meadowvale Hotel and Conference Centre Mississauga

On January 23, 2008, the U.S. Commercial Service, the U.S. Consulate and AmCham Canada hosted a Consulate Briefing breakfast at the Delta Meadowvale Hotel and Conference Centre in Mississauga. This was a very popular event. Attendance was at full capacity. The attendees were treated to a presentation by Deputy U.S. Consul General, Jeffrey S. Tunis, who highlighted the priorities and recent activities of the U.S. Consulate. Attendees were also given an opportunity to engage in an informative discussion with the Deputy Consul General and other representatives of the US Consulate and US Commercial Service. Among the topics discussed were the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative, Nexus cards, the Investor Visa Program, the upcoming changes to border crossing procedures and cross-border intellectual property right protection.

The Consulate Briefing was sponsored by North Carolina's Piedmont-Triad Partnership and Toronto law firm Fogler, Rubinoff LLP. AmCham Canada President Robert Bathgate was in attendance. Martin Rosenbaum, Vice Chair of the Ontario Chapter of AmCham Canada and Partner at Fogler, Rubinoff LLP, was the MC for the event.
